Since the summer is already here, you are probably making plans where to spend the sunny days. You can choose to spend it on the beach or the mountains. Regardless, sometimes as much as we love summer because of the warm weather, we don’t love it when it gets too hot outside.
We all have the same problem to face: the sweating and most of all the sweating of our feet. It doesn’t make a difference if you are wearing socks and sneakers or flip-flops, you can feel that your feet are constantly wet. This is why you are the ideal target for many fungal infections such as athlete’s foot or warts.
If you are dealing with these problems, there is a cure for you, just soak your feet in the amazing elixir called apple cider vinegar.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
It has numerous uses for your body and for the household. The ACV has many useful properties, such as antibacterial, antifungal as well as antiviral properties. Because of them it has the ability to treat dandruff, allergies, Candida and body odor.
Most of the time, we overlook the issues such as sweaty feet, since it is not visible at first sight unlike dandruff. However, feet detox can help you a lot, and it will be very quick and simple.
USE IT FOR ACHY AND TIRED FEET
A foot bath can be very relaxing, after a whole day spent in shoes. You can make your own foot bath at home, just add a cup of ACV, a cup of Epsom salt and one cup of sea salt in hot water. If you want, you can add half a cup of lavender into the soak and it will increase the soothing power of the bath.
USE IT FOR TOENAIL FUNGUS
The potent anti-fungal abilities of the ACV make it perfect for treating toenail fungus. All you need to do is to soak your toes in one part apple cider vinegar and two parts water for about 15 minutes a day.
USE IT FOR ATHLETE’S FOOT
Add some ACV to warm water to make a bath that will help you relieve athlete’s foot. Soak your feet for about 10-15 minutes every day for a period of 10 days and you will definitely notice the difference.
USE IT FOR SMELLY FEET
To get rid of smelly feet, do a detox by soaking them into a foot basin where you’ve mixed two parts of water and one part of ACV. It’s actually a good idea to add some drops of thyme essential oil into it, as it is very effective in neutralizing the body odor. Soak your feet for around 15-20 minutes a day and your problem will be solved.
If you cannot find thyme essential oil, you can use baking soda instead, since it is famous for its ability to neutralize smells, not only the bodily, but also the smells in the fridge, carpet, and the entire home. In 4 cups of water, add 1 and a half cup of soda, and 4 cups of ACV and soak your feet for 15 – 20 min.
USE IT FOR CALLUSES AND WARTS
The acidity of ACV has exfoliating properties which makes it the perfect ingredient for removing warts and calluses. To successfully treat calluses and warts, just make a foot bath of hot water and soak your feet in it for about 5 minutes. Than empty the bowl and add enough apple vinegar to soak your feet for around 15 minutes and dry thoroughly after that.
You can also make a overnight treatment by soaking one cotton pad in this vinegar and stick it to the wart with a bandage.
USE IT FOR DRY FEET
If you have dry feet you can make a very effective treatment with ACV. Just soak your feet in ACV for a period of 45 minutes and the bath will naturally exfoliate your skin and help you loosen up the dry areas. After the soak, gently scrub the dry areas with a pumice stone and moisturize them. You will notice your feet becoming soft and smooth in a very short period of time!
